All About our Learning Council

We are the Learning Council! We were voted by the rest of our classes and we want to make a difference to our school. We get together at least once a month in the Library to discuss all things All Saints. Sometimes Mrs Kerr gives us a topic to talk about, and sometimes we bring things up that are important to us. Recently as a group we discussed the children's toilets! We agreed that they weren't very inviting or in keeping with the rest of our beautiful school, so we made a plan! Eliza and Yazan led a whole school Collective Worship on toilet behaviours and how we should treat the toilets when we use them. Then a few of us went shopping with Mrs Kerr and we carefully chose photo frames, plants and soap dispensers to make the toilets look more inviting, and a place where you would want to keep looking nice. The Year 6 children worked really hard on designing positive affirmations that they wanted children to be able to read whilst washing their hands, or looking in the mirror. We also decided we needed fun signs to encourage flushing! We have now completed our toilet redecoration and are now planning our next big job - planning a whole school Cultural Day. This was something a few of us came up with and we bravely pitched our ideas to Mrs Kerr. Luckily, she thought our ideas were amazing! So keep an eye out... Cultural Day in June 2025 is coming to All Saints!
